CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS

BOOK BABIES
Ages:
Birth-24 months with an adult
Duration: 6 weeks, June 19-July 24
When: Mondays, 10-10:35 a.m.
Book Babies is a 20-minute program designed for children from birth-24 months old and their parent or caregiver. Book Babies will have fun and gain contact with language by listening to stories, songs and rhymes, helping these children take the first step towards a love of books and reading that will last a lifetime.

TODDLER TALES
Ages:
2-3 1/2 years with an adult
Duration: 6 weeks, June 19-July 24
When: Mondays, 11-11:30 a.m. or 1-1:30 p.m.
Toddler Tales is a 30-minute storytime designed for children from 2-3 1/2 years old and their parents or caregivers. Children will enjoy fingerplays, stories, crafts and fun.

PAWS, CLAWS, SCALES AND TALES FOR PRESCHOOLERS
Ages: 3 1/2-5 years old
Duration: 5 weeks, June 20-July 25. No class July 4
When: Tuesdays, 10-10:45 a.m., 11-11:45 a.m., or 1-1:45 p.m.
Join us for stories, games, music and more as we share 5 weeks of wild summer fun!

FISH SCHOOL
Ages: Children in grades K-2
Duration: 6 weeks, June 22-July 27
When: Thursdays, 10-11 a.m. or 1-2 p.m.
Learn why fish are so smart (they live in schools) and other wacky fish facts. Enjoy games, stories, movies, and crafts.

PAWS, CLAWS, SCALES AND TALES FOR 2ND-5TH GRADERS
Ages: Children in grades 2-5
Duration: 6 weeks, June 21-July 26
When: Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.-noon
Games, stories, activities and movies abound.
AND/OR
Duration: 6 weeks, June 23-July 28
When: Fridays (Craft Day), 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Crafts only

ART ACTIVITIES/PROGRAMS

CRAYON SCRATCHBOARD DRAWING
Ages:
4-6
Duration: 4 weeks, July 6-27
When: Thursdays, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Limit: 12 children
Cost: $13 plus supplies (please see supply list when registering)
Instructor: Diana Koch
Students will learn basic techniques using crayons to make scratchboard drawings. Register at the library's circulation desk.

SCRATCHBOARD DRAWING, LINE DRAWING AND CARTOONING
Ages: 7-13
Duration: 4 weeks, July 6-27
When: Thursdays, 4-5:30 p.m.
Limit: 15 children
Cost: $15 plus supplies (please see supply list when registering)

YOUNG ADULT PROGRAMS

WILD WEDNESDAYS

Teens going into grade 6 and up
When: Wednesdays, June 21, July 5, July 19, July 26, at 1-3 p.m.

Cost: $2 per class
Join us on Wednesdays as we get crazy and craft-astic at the library. T-shirts, tin cans, devil sticks, and wiggly worms... what will they think of next? Bring your sense of adventure, your creativity, and be prepared to get crafty! Register at the library's circulation desk.

SURVIVOR: DRAGON ISLAND
Ages:
Teens going into grade 6 and up
When: Friday, June 23
Time: 7-8:30 p.m.
Put your skills to the test and join us for Survivor: Dragon Island, a reality-style game..not for the faint of heart. Many challenges await those brave enough to face the dangers of Dragon Island. It's one thing to simply survive the island. Can you make it on an island occupied by a dragon? Register at the library's circulation desk.

CREATURE FEATURE
Ages:
Teens going into grade 6 and up
When: Mondays, June 26, July 24, August 14
Time: 7-8:30 p.m.
Monsters, mayhem, and total movie madness abound as we hang out and watch fun flicks and drink ice-cream floats. It's a creature feature. Bring your sleeping bag, pillows, and bean bag chairs and get comfy as we munch out and watch the big screen classics. Snacks are provided. Register at the library's circulation desk.

CSI: LIBRARY
Ages: Teens going into grade 6 and up
When: Tuesday, July 11
Time: 3-4:30 p.m.
The Peters Township Public Library never sleeps and neither does its crime lab. The Crime Scene Investigators of the library use the latest technology along with solid detective work to solve their cases. With their skilled lab technicians and unbiased medical examiner, they can answer the questions others never even thought to ask.

Really? Naah ... but it is an afternoon of fingerprinting, forensics, and fun! Register at the library's circulation desk.
