A friend of Bruce Springsteen, Grushecky organized the flood-relief concert that had the Boss playing Heinz Hall last year. Now he’s promoting his new CD “True Companion.”

ROTARY FISHING DERBY

HAUNTED TRAIL
October 7 and 8; 7-10 P.M.
The 2005 haunted trail production is entitled City of the Dead – A haunted trail with a Creole flavor. The haunted trail starts at the Community Recreation Center taking you on a frightening 1-mile walk through the woods. A hayride brings you back safely to the CRC.

LIBRARY ORAL HISTORY DISPLAY
As part of an oral history project to record and preserve the history of the township through personal interviews with past and present residents, the library is currently offering two
displays about life in Peters Township. Pictures on display include various facets of the history of the township including farm life, education, transportation, government, recreation, churches and industry. These displays are located on both the first and second floors of the Peters Township Library, to see how life in the township has evolved over time.
